Hi, I’m Cheryl Price, a holistic health practitioner and healer. I support health conscious African-Americans who want to discover the benefits of healing naturally and holistically. And want to understand how the mind and body can work together to create healthy lifestyles.
In 1979, approximately 45,000 women in the U.S. died from breast cancer. My mom was one of them.
Her approach to healing was baffling to us, to say the least. She refused go to a hospital, or see a doctor and made my dad promise that no matter what, that he wouldn’t take her to a hospital. Well, that was a promise he couldn’t keep. She eventually went into a coma at a relative’s home, and as much as he struggled within himself to keep that promise, his love prevailed.
But what we didn’t understand at the time (and I don’t think she really did either) was that she wanted to heal naturally. Her choice of natural healing was prayer. Prayer is a powerful healing tool. But sometimes prayer is not enough. What we missed with Momma was the holistic part.
We have been blessed with so many ways to heal naturally—aromatherapy, guided imagery, hypnotherapy, bodywork, eastern approaches, massage therapy, energy work, breath work, meditation, and prayer, to name a few.
Your body was created to heal. Doesn’t matter if you’re diagnosed with a life changing illness, suffering from a broken heart or just plain stressed out, you’re in the right place for healing. You can lean to tap into the wisdom of you body to create a healing response.
We’re all unique and our healing paths are unique; I want to help you discover yours.
I encourage you to browse this blog and enjoy all we offer. I’d also love you to join our Healing Community Mailing List. You’ll receive heart-centered discoveries for encouragement, healing and hope.
In addition to my God-centered gifts of healing, intuition and wisdom, I hold a doctorate in Sacred Religious Healing, am an ordained minister, a Certified Stress Management Educator and Therapist, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Wellness Coach, and and massage therapist.
I volunteer as a as a partner on the Advisory Council for The Network for a Healthy California–African American Campaign for the California Department of Public Health Cancer Prevention and Nutrition Section. The Campaign is committed to improving the health of African Americans by empowering African American families to make healthy eating choices and being physically active.
I also volunteered as a Patient Navigator for the Urban Latino African American Cancer Disparities Project (ULAAC). This project operates from Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Inglewood. Patient Navigators provide support to cancer patients who are considered non-compliant and help them access community services including transportation, housing, language translation and financial assistance. They also assist patients with keeping medical appointments. The Navigator’s aim is to empower the patient by providing educational materials and support.
I am an instructor at the Total Word Concept Institute, a bible college in Inglewood, California where I teach a course entitled Spirituality, Health and Healing. I present seminars on topics such as Stress Management; Personal Empowerment; Spirituality, Health and Healing; Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Relationships. I have also produced two audio CDs entitled Relaxation Meditation for Body and Mind and Ten Commandments for Healing. And am presently working on my book, The Miracle of Stress Free Living: God-Centered Keys for Living a Quiet and Peaceful Life.”
One last thing, we’d love your feedback. Help me help you heal.
Enjoy your healing journey and be well.

Dr. Price, I have enjoyed reading this information immensely. When I read your story about the bully, at first I was thinking did we attend the same school. lol
But on a more serious matter, I am so grateful to have you in my life as part of my journey. I certainly will be making an appointment to see you very soon. Thank God my physician believes in the natural approach to treatment.
Also, I believe it is very important that we know our own bodies for ourselves, after all God has entrusted it to us. Continue to educate, inform, and share your joy for life and living.
Minister, V. Lindsey
Shalom!
Hello Minister Lindsey, I’m glad to be of service. And am glad to know that you believe that we do have resposibility for our own health and well-being. God puts people in our lives to enrich and enhance them. I’m also grateful for your presence in mine.
Be well.
